About Us

How it began

Launch Collective is the brainchild of Natalie Rinehart.

After several years running my private practice, demand for my services grew significantly, with paediatricians and psychiatrists frequently referring clients because of my distinctive approach. Parents were desperate to get the help their children needed.

As my work evolved, I developed a range of therapeutic techniques that proved highly effective. But I also began to notice how deeply many clients’ mental health was affected by a lack of belonging and genuine connection. Loneliness was a recurring theme.

It started simply. I kept a large whiteboard in my office where clients could draw during sessions. Over time, others began to respond to the drawings, creating a quiet, organic form of shared communication. They were connecting through a shared space, me and my therapy dog, Kai.

At a client’s suggestion, we created a Discord server to extend this sense of community beyond sessions. Clients began sharing projects, studying together, exchanging memes, and forming genuine friendships.

Then we launched our first Dungeons and Dragons group with five neurodivergent young adults. Watching their friendships grow beyond the DnD sessions confirmed something important: young people need spaces where connection and mental health support sit side by side.

The vision of Launch Collective is to drive meaningful change in young people’s mental health through a community of trained therapists and other professionals, all with their own practices, while also creating intentional spaces where young people can connect, belong, and thrive. Young people can choose the level of engagement that suits them, whether connecting socially or working solely with their therapist or coach.
Come and be a part of building the world we want for our young people.

Mission Statement

Our Purpose
Launch Collective brings together groups of all kinds to combat loneliness, build purpose, and encourage growth. Included are programs for young people, parent support groups, independent therapists, schools, and other youth-focused organisations or practitioners.

Our Activities
Launch Collective is a community of practice for professionals supporting the wellbeing of young people aged 12–30. We specialise in evidence‑informed counselling, coaching, workshop‑based activities, and take-home challenges.

We provide training and ongoing support to therapists and practitioners in private practice and youth‑oriented organisations, with future expansion planned for support workers and tutors.
We also create inclusive in‑person and online spaces where young people can connect through activities such as DnD, tabletop gaming, trivia, skill‑building workshops, art sessions, fitness classes, and study groups—strengthening social connections and fostering personal development and new skills.

Additionally, we will deliver therapeutic support groups offering education, guidance, and community for individuals facing specific challenges. These may include Pathological Demand Avoidance parents support group, Young Person’s Chronic Conditions support group and others.

Our Approach
Launch Collective operates collaboratively, recognising young people as the experts in their own lives. Our role is to support them as they navigate their growth journey—because it truly takes a village.

Our Values
Launch Collective is fiercely inclusive of minority groups including First Nations people, Neurodivergent, LGBTQI+, Disabled, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people and anyone else that feels like they struggle to find places they belong.
