Counsellor & Coaches

Natalie Rinehart

Launch Collective Founder, Young Person & Family Counsellor/Life Coach, Author and Columnist

Qualifications: B.A.Sci(Psych); Grad.Dip.App.Psych; Cert Developmental, Learning & Behavioural Disorders- Children and Adolescents

My approach is through a combination of solution-focused, cognitive-behavioural and narrative therapies alongside life coaching. It’s not just about exploring feelings but how to interpret them and manage them. It's about setting goals for where each individual is at and where they would like to get to. Clients get to drive where we go with me as the navigator and upskiller. My style is more informal with multiple activities outside of normal counselling including whiteboarding, drawing, ball throwing, basketball, dog hugs, stretching, my pool table, anything that keeps people connected whilst we do the mind work.

I have extensive work and personal experience with the fabulous neurodivergent mind, about 80% of my clients. Clients diagnosed with Autism (including Pathological Demand Avoidance profiles), ADHD, Dyslexia and other conditions very much benefit from my style. Those facing more common mental health challenges also respond very well. Multiple pediatricians refer their clients to me because of my unusual approach. My wait list is too long, and I don’t market myself - ergo my dream of setting up Launch Collective!

I want to share what I have developed so our young people can benefit, and therapists and others can connect. I want to build something great with like-minded people.

Qualifications: Master of Counselling

I take a person-centred, strengths-based approach, combining counselling and coaching techniques to best meet individuals' specific needs and interests. I delight in helping young people to explore their identity, values and goals, and then working with them to develop skills and confidence to embrace opportunities, overcome challenges, and take positive steps towards the life they want to live.

Young adulthood can be tough time for families too. I am passionate about helping parents to understand their young person’s needs, gain confidence, learn engagement and communication strategies, and sustain caring, supportive relationships.

I offer in-person (counselling rooms, walk-and-talk or other agreed activity) or online support.

With over a decade of experience in secondary schools, I’ve supported young people through the social, emotional, and academic challenges of adolescence.

I’m an educator at heart, trained in life coaching and NLP, with a deep passion for teaching life skills, self-awareness, and confidence so young people can recognise their strengths and potential.

My coaching is warm, optimistic, and strengths-based. I create supportive, relatable spaces where young people feel seen, understood, and capable of making healthy choices. This work isn’t about fixing or changing people - it’s about helping them understand themselves, trust their voice, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

DnD Dungeon Masters

Luna (She/Her)

My origin story in DnD.

For a long time I heard tell of dungeons and dragons as a ‘nerd thing’ without actually learning many details. Eventually I had a friend refer me to a funny dnd stories channel and I got hooked. When that same friend invited me to play dnd with them I accepted in a heartbeat. Many games later I dragged new friends into the hobby and assumed the role of the dungeon master (due to their reluctance to learn all the rules) and that’s when I truly fell in love with the game.

What I love about DM-ing

I love being a dungeon master because despite requiring a fair amount of improv and planning I get to watch people explore their characters and love seeing how they can turn my ideas and plans on their head! The best moments I’ve had in dnd could never be planned and that’s what makes the game so special

Alex (He/Him)

My origin story in DnD

“I started playing DnD long ago, in the before times (probably around 2016). As many new players, I had no idea what was going on, but after a while with a patient DM and finding my footing, I went on to play quite frequently. I played as all manner of bizarre fictional creatures, but no creature more bizarre than myself. Certainly makes you approach these games in a different way. I’ve run several of my own campaigns too, from 1 shots (which frankly, almost never are), to campaigns in worlds entirely of mine own creating, map included!

What I love about DM-ing

Whilst I’ve spent more hours convening meetings than running DnD campaigns, the tasks at hand are very similar. You’re there to help people make their way through a problem, and with a deft hand, ensure that everyone can participate and feel their contributions are not just acknowledged, but appreciated. But DM specifically, I love setting up things in the narrative, dropping hints and clues, seeing if anyone picks things up, and giving the odd nudge where I feel people have lost focus. I also love seeing the interpersonal relationships develop. You can learn a lot about someone through a DnD campaign, and the players often learn a lot about themselves.”

Lachlan (He/Him)

My origin story in DnD

I love the spontaneous nature of D&D, the dice help tell a story that has unexpected twists and turns, and the players get to react to situations in their own unique and creative way.

What I love about DM-ing

I first started DMing three years ago when I realised as a player that being stuck to one character was quite limiting, so I took over as DM from a friend and have loved worldbuilding, planning out story beats, and talking in a plethora of silly voices ever since.

Bryce (He/Him)

My origin story in DnD

Having been in and around fantasy and storytelling for much of my life, I was only exposed to the world of DnD when I got back to Australia in 2019. My friend introduced me to Critical Role and I was hooked! So that Christmas, I got the main three 5e books, some paints and brushes and miniatures (I'd never painted anything since high school!) and started up my own campaign with some of my family and friends. And that campaign is still going now, six years later! I've run lots of shorter campaigns and single game sessions since with lots of different people and, on occaision, have even been given the opportunity to remove my "Forever DM" title and play as a PC too, which is a lot of fun.

What I love about DM-ing

I love having a framework of a storyline, characters, the world and all that's happening around it, only for the Dice Gods to tell their own stories, and the players coming up with new and unique ways to interact with that it all. The captivating collective stories we develop, the interesting backstories and how to tie it together with the world the PC's are in, including all the highs, the lows and everything in between. I enjoy seeing how people can get really involved in their own characters and stories, and how that can be really liberating and freeing, and relishing the growth that can come from it.

Roman (They/Them)

My origin story in DnD

I first began playing D&D in my early 20s. Crowding around my friend's dining table for a few hours became my favourite part of the week. Since then, D&D has been present in almost every social group I've had, consistently making me laugh, think creatively and feel more connected to people.

What I love about DM-ing

I love creating interactive experiences where players can physically hold and see items, so my first time DMing I went all in on a campaign in the world of Theros. I used Theros MTG cards for weapons, 4th edition fortune cards as blessings from the gods, deity lineage sheets to refer to, and a custom 20cm tall mini for the boss.
